Sunday Celebrations at Charito by Bag of Beans

Few days ago, we visited the retirement house of my in-laws in Laguna. Then, we decided to have a simple celebration of Father’s Day and Birthdays of Itey and Tita Cristy at Charito by Bag of Beans, Tagaytay.

From Nuvali, it was an hour in a half drive or less (depends on the traffic) to Tagaytay City. The Bag of Beans near rotunda is currently closed down for renovation so we headed to Charito by Bag of Beans instead.

At the entrance, there is a large parking space if you plan to bring your own car. There is a smoking area with white chairs on the right side. As we entered, a nice receptionist accommodated and gave us available seats.

I like the interior design of Charito. It’s like an old renovated mansion, so much closer to a high-end restaurant. We were seated on the alfresco side near their bar. The place is cozy , comfortable, and homey. We grabbed the chance to order our meals & while waiting, we took group photos with the view of Taal Volcano on the background.

More preferable to dine in the Alfresco than inside the restaurant, its the view!

Good thing, there were less people in the alfresco so we had the chance to be seated on the overlooking. The waiters easily accommodated us, offered available seats, and served us service water. Just to estimate, I think this place can accommodate up to 200 people or more.

Even if I saw Taal Volcano several times already, I am still fascinated whenever I witnessed its beauty. One day, I will have the guts to hike its crater.

Tagaytay is really popular because of the overlooking. Restaurants are almost everywhere especially near the view. There are also hotels, cafes, inns, and amusement park nearby.

We went upstairs to check the other view of the restaurant. There were less people dining in. The space here is much bigger than downstairs. The interiors are really nice too. We had a great time taking lots of pictures, especially me because I want to share this on my blog.

After the photo ops, we went downstairs to check if our food were already served. For the price on their menu, I think it is still reasonable because of the ambiance + the taste. Remember that, there is also service charge after the meal price.

Seafood Marinara, Kare -kare, Baby Back Ribs, and Sisig

The food we ordered tasted good. The Seafood Marinara was creamy; the tenderness of the pasta was just right. The Kare-kare is my favorite! The vegetables were not soggy and the sauce was just right for the bagoong. But the serving of the meat of the Kare-kare is for 2 persons only. For the Baby Back Ribs, the smoky sauce was also tasty. Plus, mashed potato was creamy and fresh, as well as the veggies. Great food indeed!

After eating our meals, the waiter served the desserts; Blueberry Cheesecake and Apple Pie ala Mode to our Birthday Girls. Yes, they were heavenly good, too!

Happy Birthdayzzzz!!!

Our dining experience in Charito was pure happiness. We really enjoyed our Sunday celebrations here. Super thanks to Mijoyce who introduced this place to us + it was her treat!

Looking forward for more restaurant invasion in Tagaytay. We will come back again and try some other pretty restaurants like this for sure!
